This is what happen when you stay at home, sick and bored, and the sun is shining outside. Forbidden to go out... Well, no matter, I will do indoor shots! So I took the sun rays coming in from the window of my balcony.
Back to the image-squeezing machine, I click left, right, left again, add colors, reduce others, squeeze, fold, throw in the washing machine... and here come the result: an aurora as anyone ever seen before!
You thought is was a true one didn’t you!?!
In a few lines, here is how I manipulated it:
First, I played with color levels, strenghtening greens while lowering others.
I did it twice on tho copies of the smae picture with a slight difference in tones.
I then “pasted” these two to make some kind of panoramic shot.
I went in Photofiltre, and played with filters, “spiral” and “fisheye”, then rotated at 40 degrees, and added a black background.
To end with this, I added some radial blur and blew the bottom line with the aerograph tool, to give a stronger wave effect.
