Took this picture in a private garden just outside Bangkok.I have to apologize this is a spirithouse not a birdhouse as originally stated.

Now that's a lucky bird Otto! Very ornate to say the least. It was probably difficult to not get this shot OE due to the sun shining directly on it. You've been a few places, yes?

Hi Otto, Dennis and Michael, this is not a Birdhouse. Its a spirithoouse.
They can be seen everywhere in Thailand and are made very ornate in order to attract the spirits from their normal residence in the heavens to come and live in the beautiful spirithouse. Read more about this on link below.

One can see the amount of art and dedication going into these spirithouses.Seemed to have a slight overexposure on the spirithouse other wise a nice presented photograph.
