Hi TL Friends,

During my visit to Hydra Island, I came across these stairs leading to somewhere. It caught my attention because I really like anything that’s made of stone or dressed with it. It’s full of textures and it reflects that old look &/or mood. I have no idea where the steps lead to but if you lead the way, I’d be glad to follow… :)))

Enjoy!

Hi Con...
Its always exciting to see new shots from Greece, either way..Vassilis or you.(and the ones from Hellen ^_- right ? ) This photo..with the surrounding greens and flowers is a pleasure to look at..(end of the year I will inspect these places myself ofcourse..
to see there is no 'trucage' used )

Big compliment for the ''led-in'' line right below! TFS and bye from the Dutch cheese factory ^_^

John

Hi Constantinos

Good perspective & pov. I like the symmetry of the 2 purple oleander trees. Good work!

Hi Con,
This is a great subject! So much personality, so much style...
You frame your subject well here, creating a pleasant composition to give full credit to this nice old stairs...
Good colours and details, harsh lighting well managed!
Greetings,
Pablo -

Hi Constantinos,

lovely stairs, flowers around, summer atmosphere...I love places like this, I would go to explore immediately...

take care, Ivana

Γειά σου Κωνσταντίνε, μ'αρέσει το καδράρισμα,και η οπτικήαυτή δίνει 3σδιάστατη εντύπωση.

I am not sure if it would make a more interesting photo or not but how about taking a shot by getting very close to the ground? Just a thought ... :) I do like it this way but somehow the stairs seem to be too big for this photo, they need more captured space - surroundings around them.

Katya

I would love to have this in my landscape (yard)..nice focus.

Hi Constantinos,
always great view!!!
Very good light and superb textures.

ps..what is Rob in Greek ?

I like the uneven rocks the path is made of. The colour contrasts nice with the greens and purple flowers. It indeed makes one wonder where it is going to. A bit of mystery always gets my attention.

hello Constantions
nice stone stairs...composition, colours and clearity are great..
congratulations
best wishes
Deniz

Hi Con,

Wonderful old stone work. This could even be in some parts of WA where your countrymen have done similar stonework around their houses. Lovely textures, good POV and considering the conditions well taken. I have taken the liberty of attempting another workshop. TFS,
Dave

Nice view which lead to a nice compo, Κώστα. The light on the stairs is perfect, their structure too.
TFS.
P.S.: # of stairs to the top of St Peter's basilica in Rome: 320! Indoors, though ;o)

Hello Constantinos, very well seen and taken! Is this lead-in line that you talk to me about?

I love stairways too. And made of stones with all the vegetation makes for a very greek scenery or meditarrenean.

I like the ws: good light control.

Take care, Yan :)

I like perspective shots like this. Good composition.

Hi Constantinos,

Excellent shot and well done on the composition. This would make a fine B/W as well.

Mike

Very lovely capture Constantinos! The perspective is enchanced by the very good low level shot and the well balanced lighting.

Very good photo. The light is strong but the shadow gives more textures to the stones. The flowers have beautiful and vivid colors. I like your composition. It must be pleasant to sit down on the steps and to roast like a lizard with the sun! ;)
Very well done! Annie

Hi Constantinos

Yes this is what I like Zorba!
Fantastic a compliment bye bye bye
Josine

Good pov. I like the stairs leading you right into the picture and not across a you normally see. The plants at the top balance the 'dull' grey of the stairs at the bottom.
