The Third Man 28c-175v
Yes, this is it. The street, black & White, the shadow devided in two, the curve, the stone patern, I love it all.
The remarks: a bit grey, give more contrast. White is burned and cut the top left.
But, aftyer all a very nice pic.

Like this very atmospheric.
I would like to see this without the paving stones continuing into the top right hand corner.

Great shot Huub. Third man yes - the paved road surely is a reminder of that lovely film. You have caught the magic here.

A very well composed B&W image - the title goes well with the shot - TFS :)

hi Huub :-) very much like this composition and especially the mood you've created.. yes very 'third man' indeed and i love that whole film noir look in phototraphy.. great grain and strong detail too.. really excellent.

I like the highlights on the brick the most.

Good mysterious scene. I like the shadows although I feel they ought to be a bit darker. Perhaps add more black in Selective Colour. Just a suggestion. Good composition. I saw the Third Man series on TV a very long time ago and I thoroughly enjoyed the mystery.
Well observed street scene.

Heb ik hier ineens een meesterwerk voor mijn neus. Wat moet je zeggen als alles klopt.
Heb je het in elkaar gezet?Of deed het zich voor? Prachtig Prachtig.
Roep het nog een keer meesterlijk.

I love the captured light, Huub... and I admit, even if I do prefer colour shots, that this one called for b&w.
Very well done, TFS.
Okay Huub, no points - I don't know The Third Man or what it is about - which to some means I must be dead, but in this case, I cannot be biased in what I see. B&W is nice, grain effect is also nice. Composition with the curve and tiles is great - nicely balanced geometric intersections. Shadows and their placing - look like they have been very well calculated and give a very strong impact of mystery and suspense. The leg on the left (her/his right leg) doesn't look right. A very sudden and sharp curve just below the picture frame causes some perspective distortion - which if one stares at long enough, the distrotion appears as a shadow of a shadow. Very nicely done.
THIS IS SO GOOD THAT IT HURTS.
There are a few points raised re the content and composition but they are but a candle in the wind compared to the atmosphere generated.
Classic BW top-line quality movie-still. 10/10
