[Notas - Normas] Nota do Artista
Lucerne, Switzerland, enjoys a privileged location at the head of beautiful Lake Lucerne. The jagged mountains that surround the lake provide a dramatic backdrop to the city. Lucerne is a romantic city of style, culture, and history. It is full of architectural and cultural gems waiting to be discovered. Wooden covered bridges, medieval watchtowers, baroque churches and a story book castle punctuate the landscape.
One of the city's famous landmarks is the Chapel Bridge (Kapellbrücke), a wooden bridge ( 204 m long) first built in the 14th Century. much of it had to be replaced after a 1993 fire, allegedly caused by a group of smokers.

Adjoining the bridge is the 43 m tall Wasserturm (Water Tower), an octagonal tower made from brick, which has served as a prison, torture chamber, watchtower and treasury. Today the tower, which is part of the city wall, is used as the guild hall of the artillery association.

Inside the bridge are paintings from the 17th century depicting events from Lucerne's history.
