[Notas - Normas] Nota do Artista
One last image of "L'Etoile d'Ouchy," a sculpture by Angel Duarte, displayed in the beautiful park in Ouchy, the lakefront district of Lausanne. This was taken as the sun was setting. I cropped, sharpened and resized.

On the thumbnail it looked like a graphic drawing. When I look at the lines for a longer time, it feels like the clouds in the circle start moving...nice effect :)

The setting sunlight adds a magnificent touch to this structure!

This is a marvellous shot of a nice architecture, Sandy!
The BG as a sky worked very well here and you got a good weather for that. Good sharpness and nice POV. Great job!

thanks and regards,
Paras Bhalla

Hello Sandy,
This sculpture must be impressive... The way you pictured it is impressive as well.
By just showing us a fragment in an off-centered composition, you give it a graphically abstract look. At the same time, that feature is subtly counterbalanced by the natural light that not only illuminates the sky, but also the entire structure.
TFS & kind regards,
Erik

This is grand Sandy! I love how you did this! It would be SO easy to have all this Moire pattern everywhere, but you avoided it perfectly! I love the off center window here...Very nice work!

It's a very fantastic photo, Sandy. The sun shined beautifully on these lines. Excellent POV, Lighting, colors. TFS

Sandy, this is another great view of this structure. Love the choice of cropping. Great colors created by the low evening light.. love the highlights on the metal rods, and the lowlight, golden overtones of the whole thing.
Great job
Trudy

Hi Sandy,
Excellent artistic impression, great composition although I might have put the circle a bit more to the left to give it some more space. Anyway, the lines, the shining elements, they all look gorgeous! A fine posting Sandy!

Hi Sandy...nicely composed shot..great light and details...nice work.

What a sculpture - and what a capture! You've made the very best of this one, placing the opening well off-centre in the frame, and emphasising the striking geometry of the structure.

Amazing shot well captured. It makes a fine abstract. Colours and definition are excellent. TFS

Hi Sandy,
I've looked at alot of photos on this site over time, and I can honestly say that this is one of the most intriguing I've seen. Fantastic composition and sharpness, a truly unique shot. Such an interesting sculpture, you have photographed it well. Impressive shooting - can't help but add this to my favourites.

I like this composition , full of lines , at different angles , perpendicular , well you name it ! The circle revealing the sky is a nice addition , would have liked to see a little more of the structure to its right though , nevertheless i appreciate the view and graphism it delivers , nice bit of obsevation my friend,
Carol

Whoa...I don't know how you managed to top the earlier post of this sculpture, but I think you did! I love how the light is accenting the lines and creating a kind of overall glow. The organized pattern and geometry is impressive, and your off-center composition gives it a clever twist. Excellent!!!

Fantastic. All!
Add to my favorites.

Renzo
