| [Notas - Normas] Nota do Artista |
Lausanne's Festival de la Cite was incredible this summer. Thousands of people were out in the streets of the old city. Bands, food, drink and entertainment were everywhere. Here, a crowd gathers in the Place du Chateau and prepares for the headlining band to play as night falls.
I used a wide angle here to try to capture as much of the crowd and plaza as possible. As a result, the lens distortion has made the buildings to the right and left of the stage seem as though they are leaning backwards. I don't think it detracts from the image or the mood, although some may disagree. |

Hi Sandy, I love this kind of atmostphere, so this photo caught my attention immediately. Great timing to shoot this in the blue hour, but when there was still enough light to get detail in the people all around you. Yeah, the distortion of the buildings doesn't bother me at all either. Nicely composed with the stage slightly off-center.
Nice shot

good timing shot in blue hour combined with nice lighting, Sandy..
I can feel the warm atmosphere and sharpness from edge to edge makes the pic wonderful..
really tells a story..

I love the "blue hour" and this is nice! I agree with the F5, as people would be in movement, therefore a long exposure would have bits of blur, which might be distracting. Beautiful shot Sandy! Time is ticking away as we approach our landing in Pittsburg. Would LOVE to see you at Niagara Falls! I got some friends coming, hope you can too!
