We don't see too many grasshoppers on TL but this is the second in a few days.
You have the focus nicely centered on the head, and the colours are accurate.
I do like your use of the b/g light which is cleverly composed into a diagonal across the frame.

Super macro with light that makes the grasshopper seem to be luminescent. Very sharp details and bright colors with a wonderful smoothly blurred background that looks almost like a flag. Excellent image.

Wow, a great macro from a "nearly transparent" grasshopper with great details! The effect of the light is superb here, and the sharpness and POV are perfect here. The DOF is very well managed. The way the subject is behaving here, is very interesting.

The effect you've captured with the backlighting is very interesting. The grasshopper is almost translucent. The blue/brown background adds a nice touch of color as well. TFS my friend!
