A nice effect in this monumental shot! This is surely breaking the rule of thirds with its central position. Pleasant softness and a nice frame to compliment and gives a macabre aspect to this presentation.

Nice work in the post processing stage, Steve.
The darkness and grain adds a chilling and grisly reminder of what was and what is remembered.
A sad scene emphasised perfectly with your camera and processing skills.
I'm not even contemplating the idea behind the theme, the shot has great impact for all the right reasons.

The distance between the monument and the church is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details of the remembrace monument. THe monument being almost centered the rules of the thirds is broken. Have a nice day.

A well thought entry to Friday's theme, Steve ;O))
Good details and well caught mood in this work.
The B/W tones worked very well here and an elegant framing enhances the overall appeal of the scene.

Bom dia Steve,
Sad memories, wonderful picture and great example of "disrespect" to the rule of thirds.
Have a nice day,

This is the easiest way to break the rule and probably one of the very rare way. Low POV and forced perspective give the impression the monument is really gigantic compared to the house. Original presentation and PP treatment for this subject. Nice contribution and TFS.
