[Notas - Normas] Nota do Artista
Let's take a break from the Don Valley Brick Works. All that dust must not be good for our health! But I promise: we'll be back...

Prior to our excursion to the Brick Works, Diana and her husband John met with Suzanne and me at Diner 55 on Bayview Avenue for a hearty breakfast. Great food and great 1950's decor. And of course, I couldn't resist saying "hi" to the dummy in the entrance!

And this will be my entry to the Retro theme in the Scavenger Hunt.

Enjoy and have a great week-end!

Bonjour Pierre! Belle vue d'ensemble! Michel

Hello Pierre,
great find, perfect for this category. Nice composition.
Sky

bonne lumière en effet Pierre... Les couleurs sont parfaites également... Je vois que tu m'as devancer car j'ai en réserve pour les jours à venir un modèle du même genre ; )

Hello Pierre,
Great portrait of a "dummy" model! Light is very good and the colors create great contrast.
Thanks for sharing,
Angela

Nice sharp details, love the lighting and colors. Pleasure to look at this, because it is colorful and interesting.

Hi Pierre,

Well done on the capture and composition.
Your composition would be stronger with the dummy to the left more. You closed off the area of where she is staring, there's more room behind. You need more room in front.
Nice lighting.

Mike

Elle en fait une tête cette dame de plastique! Elle a l'air en pleine nostalgie, pensées, introspection... Ce sont vraiment ses yeux qui m'ont donné le fix en premier!
Bravo!

This is an awesome picture. Dummies are wicked! I really like the lightning. Perfect clarity and wonderful vivid colors. Best wishes!

Excellente idée, bien vue et bien traitée. Éclairage en subtilité, couleurs tout en douceur. Excellent merci,

Mario

Hi, Dummy! (Not you, Pierre. Just following instructions.)

Very retro, with great colors and interesting photos on the wall! There's a little spot of orange light on the team picture behind her, that I'll bet you intended to clone out...

Fun!
Gayle :)

Great lighting on the face, very 'studio'. Also the 'stance' of the dummy, leaning into the camera gives a feeling of closeness which is good and I don't mind her in the centre but cropping more off the left hand side also works quite well, hmm. I find dummies abit scary, I've seen them used in horror movies and almost expect them to move.....this one is retro scary. Well done, cheers Karey.

That's a real flashback in time Pierre ! Stunning.

I like the quality of the light here. You managed to create a dynamic composition from this inanimate lady by using the wide angle to good effect. Good work.

Hi!! to the dummy of course :)

We know its inanimate but you make it look so life like! Good colours and details and suits the theme to a T!! TFS.

Fantastic shot! Wonderful lighting, excellent sharpness and detail! You made the dummy a great model!
Vassilis

Geeze! I almost missed this one. Great shot Pierre. I saw you take this one, but I seem to remember you were much closer to your new found girlfriend. I thought at first you were trying to give her a kiss! But, then I noticed you had your camera in your hands. This shot turned out awesome. I like the lighting and the angle. Maybe clone out the mole at the end of her nose :)

She seems like she is waiting for Elvis...

The light is superb Pierre!!! Great entry into the Retro hunt. Excellent compositon and a creative idea. Love her eyes and I'm happy that she cooperated with the photographer! Have a great week Pierre!

Love and Peace always!
Kevin

Excellent close-up portrait, I love this wide angle effect you used here, combined with this dummy it surely gives that retro look to the whole shot. And colors are well selected too.
Great work, congratulations!
Robert

Hi Pierre,

A very striking image, awesome lighting and wonderful colours and contrasting BG. She almost looks real, nice capture.

Kindest regards
Wayne

Hi Dummy, are you listening. Fron the thumbnail I thought you were wearing headphones but now I see the true retro touch. Lovely colours and a nice shine to those pearls.
Pierre, why don't you make use of the full 800 pixels? I am sure this one could take it.

From her dimensions I'd say she was measured after Twiggy, Pierre ;o). Definitely retro so a good entry for the hunt... I think the extra wide angle you used really distorts the background though, and it really shows because of the frames. But it's not really disturbing either; TFS.

Angle particulier et lumière impeccable. J'aime beaucoup le détail de la chevelure et les couleurs éclatantes du mannequin...
