[Notas - Normas] Nota do Artista
This photo basically shows the light and some shadows of the lattice work of the trellis on our back deck. I went out one nice day for some of my first pictures with the new camera outside, and I liked the angles and shapes and tones of the wood colouring in this particular shot of the steps leading up from the lawn on to the deck.

... only to find that your portrait sitter had fled at the last second. Try again tomorrow?
There is a curious black line running down along the foreground diagonal rail. Now what on earth could that be?
That blue lamp would complement the deck colours and it should definitely be rescued from the basement. Wouldn't it sit out here well?
This shot is a bit busy for me. I'd like to have zoned in on the 'newel' post very closely and seen the splits and grain magnified much more. Visual impact guaranteed. Next time?

Hello joan,
Steps always brings out surprises with the lines and angles. I think you did well to capture, looks good to me. Like kit says it could be better.

Lots of geometrical shapes in this one, Joan. That, and the soft brown hues of the woodwork are what attract me to this shot. The near-square format works fine, but I think the wide black frame doesn't really fit.
Anyway, TFS.
