A general view of the fjord at Port Saguenay, while the icebreaker NGCC Louis Saint-Laurent is awaiting the arrival of the MV BBC Portugal after breaking the ice alongside her docking position. ( for a change an unobstructed view of the ship, LOL !)

Back at Port Saguenay , where I attended last week for my work.

Technically : Image uncropped. I kept the threatening sky. Minimum level and tones adjstments here. It was so dark , the flash popped ! Same framed used using the Port logo .

Note: I am currently working on my PC , cleaning it for four evenings already . Hard drive disk is full.
Currently trasferings loads of files and photos. So I will be more active soon. I apologize for my lack of visits. I will catch you later guys.

In the meantime, let me share recent shots of our cool days up here. I hope they will refresh the poor people suffering of the blazing sun in the Southern hemisphere .... (^_^)

Cheers!
Robert

Hi Robert - I like the dark, imposing sky and I think it could have been made even more dramatic by cropping a little from the top - the brightest part. Maybe an inch or so, just to keep the sky as dark as possible and contrasting well with the ice and boat below.

But that's being picky, a nice shot here with good sharpness throughout and a nice wee note! Oh, and the sun is blazing here on the equator as well :-)

Hello Robert,
Before the picture loaded,(I have very slow dial-up) I seemed to agree with Richard about the crop- but once I seen those clouds- I sort of disagreed. The uncropped version you have here really tells a story- just with the clouds themselves. If you would have cropped it, the picture would seem less dramatic probably.
It seems they have layers and are just waiting to pound down some rain or heavy snow...
Nice saturation and details, as well as the presentation.
TFS!
Leanne

Bonsoir Robert

Hi Robert,

I do like the strong colours of the vessel under the grey sky! But that logo at the right bottom... The letters are not that visible. Did you use that logo before? Just wondering...

Greetings! Dennis

Great Shot Robert,
with a fine presentation and frame,
Love the red, it pops so well,
Well seen and captured,
Vincent

Hi Robert,

Fantastic shot Robert. I think a bit of the sky could be cropped off, which would revert our eyes towards the boat and the sea, instead of the sky

Bonsoir Robert :)

Je suis impressionnée par le gigantisme de ce bateau. Et aussi par la mer glacée ! Belles couleurs, lumière excellente, c'est vraiment très beau, merci :)
Amitiés
Marylou
