[Notas - Normas] Nota do Artista
The day lilies are out in Southern Ontario, and this is the first one out in my garden. Often erroneously referred to as "tiger lilies" these lilies propogate by tuberous roots, not by bulbils that form at leaf axils. These are also called "ditch lilies". The blossoms only last one day, but many are on each stalk.
Orange day lilies can be transplanted in spring or fall. They like to be crowded together. They prefer moist to wet soils which is why they like ditches.
Native Americans ate the tuberous roots, baking them as one would a potato. They have been used medicinally as well.
Lilium lancifolium; hemerocallis fulva. Cloudy morning.

Perfect shot.
Excellent composition and details.

Nathan captured a bunch in the backyard and did really well, right after a rain, he captured them with droplets. he's got the eye.
