There are a number of things that could be improved. I don't know what sort of camera you used, but try switching to "portrait" mode. That will open up a wider aperture and may help to blur the background, while keeping your subject in focus. It is not a good idea to have both subject and background sharp, because they compete for attention ... rather like mixing milk and juice in the same glass. :)

Research "composition" online - you will find that a photograph will usually look better if your subject is not placed in the centre of the photo.

If you had Irba on the left, and the pond, blurred, to the right, it would be a more accessible and pleasing photograph.

Finally - most of us write Photographers Notes. They explain what we tried to achieve, and how we tried to achieve it, and allow our fellow members to leave more helpful critiques. A Photographer's Note is also considered polite and friendly.

its nice to see your more posts.I think after the explanation as how to proceed by my friend Rew there isnt any need to further pointout the highlighted points.Here I can see the harshness of light on the face of Irba and shades due to it.her face and cloths are OE (overexposed) Even the glares are in the pool also.I think you must visit Rew's gallery if you are interested in portraits I am sure he will love to guide you as well if you ask him for any guidence in this regard.Since I am of the opinion that every picture posted on TL is worth some [point bcos there is an artist who perceived it so your post also desrves it.TFS
