Hi All,
Since Mexico is sunny and pleasant at this time of the year ,it's December here in Oaxaca where this photo was taken .Since i like to go out early to catch the best light i wandered about for a while in the neighborhood of my guest house then headed down to the main Plazza a few blocks away and looked around for some photo opportunities.I came across this young man playing with his cell phone seated in one part of the very leafy park ( Huge trees under which locals get some welcome shade during a hot day ).As can be seen here he sits in direct light ,it is quite strong even at 8.30 in the morning .The Bg is very much as it was then not that it was in any way interesting....
In Post-P i lowered the highlights on his 'sparkling ' white shirt substantially ,saturated the red of the flowers a bit to bring it out of the BG , framed ,
F/4.5 1/250,

I like your idea of this picture, very well prepared one. It really has a special mood. A also like its vibrant colours scattered in the black background, contrast between them is perfect. Great shot! TFS.

Vraiment une photo qui sort de l'ordinaire, ici!
Très intriguante aussi avec cet arrière-plan complètement noir! La composition est superbe avec les poinsitias qui s'étalent tout autour du banc et l'arbre vert qui fait un juste contrepoint. Excellent travail sur la brillance et les tons blancs.

Bonjour Carol
Veuille excuser mon retard pour réagir à ta dernière visite.
Ce clair-obscur...BRILLE de simplicité et dans l'avant-plan flamboyant imposé par le rayon de soleil, tout y est pour situer rapidement l'action: Banc de parc et jeune arbre.
La posture du passionné des jeux, recourbé vers ses mains, est très descriptive de la nouvelle tendance crée par l'évolution électronique!

Only one " but "
At 3 o'clock there's " something " in the dark.
Can't say what it is, but it takes my attention ...
I would clone it out : the photo is strong enough to do it
without. ( IMO ! )
