I'm not sure if it is the use of black and white or the clothes the people are wearing but this has a very 1920's or 30's feel to it. You can almost imagine the old gangster type cars (used in the movies) driving down the road. I like everything about this shot; the feel of cold it portrays, the misty grey toning to the background (created by falling snow I presume) and the positioning of the people in the frame taking a walk in the cold.
Well worth braving the cold weather.
Andrew
Hi Anton, I agree with Andrew on everthing. What attracted me to your photo in the first instance was to find out whether it was really only taken recently. I also like to many details in the composition, be they clear or blurry. The man looking towards you/the viewer translates his mood well, too. Finally, the snowflakes showing against the couple's dark coats. Superb! Cordelia
