This was taken at Redondo Beach Pier. This excellent creature was a natural model. It posed and seemed to enjoy all the attention it was getting from all the folks with their cameras. This was taken with the excellent Canon 70-200 IS which I was still testing at the time and obviously kept.
Color converted and sharpened in Photoshop.

This is a fine image. I really enjoy your choices - the crop and size of the pelican relative to your frame. My eyes are drawn to the detail around your subject’s eye. The color tone you've selected also works well. Congratulations and welcome to TL!

Excellent quality and treatment. As an example of a pelican, it doesn't get much better. Textbook illustration but that beady eye will stay with me after I fall asleep tonight! Looks really mean!
