My sister Julie, my girls, and I went hiking today in the Indian Heaven Wilderness area. This is a photo of my girls Malia and Alisha posing near a curve in the trail where there was our first good viewpoint (I'll post more photos of the area soon) This was only about 1 hour into our hike. The area is so beautiful, we plan on gonig back when the sky is blue and the views of Mount Adams are better.

Indian Heaven Wilderness is 20,400 acres of broad, rolling country, straddles the crest of the Cascade Range with subalpine meadows and 175 small lakes. Originally known to be the Indians as "Sahalee Tyee," the area has been (and is) culturally important to Native Americans. "Indian Heaven" offers visitors wildlife and panoramic views, as well as seasonal wildflowers and huckleberries.

Nice shot Lori, well captured of the expression of your girls... :) I like the composition too, with all the colours contrast, pity the sky is a bit grey. I learn a bit of the lesson of Indian Heaven from you too. :) Thanks for sharing my friend

Hi Lori, I know I wrote a critique before, but where has it gone? Now, what did I say?
You are lucky the girls want to come trecking with you, and they do look happy too. The photo is nice and sharp and has good colours. Well done.
