Hi Otto!

I just now saw this. I've been at work for 16 hours, but still had to get on line to see your post.:) This is a lovely composition. The colors and focus are great! I hope to get a macro lens for Christmas...I may have to buy it myself.:)

Hello Otto,

This is utterly beautiful!
The focus is pin sharp and the dof protects the clarity with the oof b/g.
My only suggestion would be to crop from the right so that the images were not so centrally placed, otherwise, perfection!

Sometimes something as simple as this fruited branch is amazingly beautiful if you know how to look at it. And this is what you did in this picture.
Also, the soft red background is just what the close up image needs to hold on to. No need to be another colour, sometimes when the colour repeats itself in a different texture makes the idea much stronger.
One of the best photographies i´ve seen so far here...congratulations Otto!
