Nice shot Jack, maybe do a repost and clone out the lens flares ? Like you, I need to invest in a filter or two to stop this from happening :)

Awesome image Jack
I quite liked the lens flare and I am pleased that you decided to leave it in.
Well composed scene, especially with Ngauruhoe off centre too. I stayed in a chalet at the top of the Rock Gardens many years ago and this was the view I saw each day. I loved it.
And the snowy ice in the FG shows the scene off perfectly

Hi Jack,
A few months ago I was wandering through the Tongariro area and flew above Mt. Ruapehu and Mt Ngauruhoe. Well you have a different approach, but a great one! Superb DOF . Great clarity. Those newton rings aren't disturbing for me, it creates a special effect in this wonderful mountain landscape. Great posting Jack!

I've got mixed feelings about the lens flare really it's part of photography when shooting into the sun and hard to avoid with a photo like this.
It's a striking image Jack, great composition with the ice in the foreground.

Excellent shot Jack, looks very clean and fresh. Good composition here. I'm not really a fan of the flaring, the colours and details look terrific here though. Well taken.
TFS,
Scott.
