[Notas - Normas] Nota do Artista
This reminded me of one of the machines from the Stars Wars movies - the All Terrain-Armoured Transport.

An AT-AT has blast-impervious armor plating, and resembles a gigantic beast as it moves across the battlefield. An AT-AT's head carries the main armaments, a pair of light blasters located on the walker's "temples," and heavier, twin laser cannons mounted on the walker's "chin."

I think its actually part of the T-bar ski lift, taken on the slopes of Mt Ruapehu with Pinnicle Ridge to the left.

Hi Jack,
It certainly does look like something you'd see in Star Wars, even looks like it has guns on the front! Lol. Excellent composition, the snow really makes this stand out. I love 'fresh' scenes like this. It all looks very clear and sharp. Nice capture.

TFS,
Scott.

Haha, good interpretation of the lift station building. yes I see the similarities too.
OKay, I've always known that NZ has snow in winter (in certain areas), but I've always found it so hard to believe. Now you've convinced me. This could be in the Canadian Rockies!
Great shot... snow is not always easy to expose properly, but this is really good ..colors are great, sky is great.
Nice one Jack.

Hi Jack,

Nice shot. Glad to see another Star Wars fan here. Yep, that is the drive station of the Vallry T Bar, @ Whakapapa Ski Field, which is my "second home". The Pinnacles area is a great place to shoot mountain landscape/ski/snowboarding shots. Nice shot, with Pinnacles to the left; makes for great shadowing, as the season progresses.
Oh, I reckon the drive shed looks more like an AT-ST...

Cris

Hi Jack

It really seems Star Wars, before to read its note already had commented on.
Very clear, excellent capture

The thumbnail had me confused, had no idea what I was looking at until I opened the thumbnail! Well spotted and the landscape adds to the out-of-this-world feel. Nicely composed and the CP has done a lovely job. Fun shot, well executed.

Hi Jack,

Magnificent mountain panorama. Such a great sense of scale and beauty in this snow-covered landscape. Well photographed under these harsh light conditions. TFS.

Haha from the thumbnail I thought you'd made a Photoshop composite and placed an ATAT in the shot. Metering here is perfect and your POV gives a terrific sense of the scale of the surroundings.

Hi Jack,

I almost instantly thought it was a scene of Star Wars. Brilliant.
