[Notas - Normas] Nota do Artista
This is a 60-minute continuous exposure of the southern night sky in Tongariro National Park between Oturere and Waihohonu Hut. Far in the distance is Mt. Ruapehu, one of the active volcanoes in the national park. The golden glow over the horizon is from the resort town of Ohakune.

Amazing Bernard!! Top marks for this picture-it is a very interesting study of the path of the stars. Excellent exposure-did you experiment with different time values?
Very sharp. Cheers, Pat.

Sublime. Nothing else to say about it. Thanks for sharing. A great photo to welcome in a new year. -Hugh

Hi Bernard,
This is still something I want to do. The extreem long shutter speed creates such an awesome effect. I really like how you have composed this photo.

Wow! Great shot Bernard. Well done. The tent looks good there too. TFS

Wow, I'm impressed. I saw something like this in a D-Photo magazine and wanted to try it myself but haven't found the right situation yet. You have done a fabulous job, technically it's perfect. The centre of the star axis is even on the thirds!
Well worth sitting outside for an hour...
Karen

The changing sky (colors, clouds locations) left a very soft mark on the picture.
Jupiter and Mercury on the bottom-left left a beautiful trail.
Beautiful picture!
