Taken in the Te Papa museum in Wellington, from a balcony above looking down to a display in the part of the museum that tells about Te Tiriti o Waitangi (the treaty of Waitangi). The treaty is NZ's most famous document that deals with the governership and sovereignty of NZ by the Queen of England signed during the time post-settlement of NZ in the 1800s. The document was signed by Maori chiefs at the time but there are differences in the interpretation of the Treaty by both parties because of a mis-translation.
