Bernard this is just incredible, the way you have captured a whole atmosphere, environment, it's like you created another world in your photo. The combination of the gradient of light-to-dark, of rosey orange-to-purple, with the dark silhouetted tall mountains really makes the shot eye-catching and stunning. Great framing and composition with the inclusion of the reflection of the mountains and sky, it makes the shot even more dynamic. The inclusion of the partially cropped mountain in the foreground at the right edge leads the eye down and to the left of the shot and balances with the tree at the left. The use of lighting is just incredible, especially because it's softly illuminating the snow-capped part of the mountain in the background at the right. Great clarity and very sharp and controlled. The tones and colors are wonderful and I like the simple and subtle signature you put in the corner of the shot that does not at all distract from the photo. Perhaps the v-shape in between the mountains is slightly centered but looking at the shot I can see it would be difficult to frame this any other way without throwing off the composition. Really amazing, TFS!

Wow, that's an absolutely amazing image. Not much else to say here, professional level landscape photography worth of the top level travel magazines. In my humble opinion, you'd be much better off with these images on TE, where the standard is higher and the membership quite a bit more knowledgeable in landscape matters.

I'm sorry to say I've never been to Fiordland even though I live in New Zealand - and from what you show here, I've really missed out!

You ably captured a fairly rare cloudless moment in Fiordland. It appear sereal and silent, motionless and tranquil. I like the subtle shades of blues to purples to pinks, all which contrast well with what I assume to be Mitre Peak?
