[Notas - Normas] Nota do Artista
Poor Derek, he was all ready for the midnight BBQ, when he got the hiccups....

Five images;
The B/G, when the flash didn't fire.
A stone retaining wall under a railway bridge.
A ceramic dragon ornament.
Two shots of candle smoke.

The candle was set up in front a black card, and lit by flash at 45 degrees two metres behind on the left.
I had my long snoot on the speedlight to avoid lens flare.
The smoke data, ISO 200, F10, 1/200 sec, flash at half power.

The bottom end of the smoke was bent using Distort/Liquify.

Very neat composition, appauld you and the work taken to present this one, perfect for the firey theme.

stv ;o))

Hi Peter,

Using five different image to create one photo is a good idea. The smoke coming out from the dragon nostrils is ggoing well with the Friday's theme. Thew point of view is showing the détails and colours of the ceramic dragon. Have a nice day.

Pierre

Hi,the shot does not show fire but it is implied by the smoke.Superb picture quality and colors.Fine work, all the best,Otto.

Bonsoir Peter
I am sure you speak of 5 images to emphazise the work you say you did; but in fact you shot a true alive dragon smoking and you had only to "snapshot", even maybe with your old Kodak Box...
perfect result
