[Notas - Normas] Nota do Artista
I am going to post a series of photographs taken at an exhibition on the Gallipoli campaign where 130,000 men were killed in WW1. The reason for posting is the amazing quality of the subjects and the story behind them.

This is Private John (Jack) Robert Dunn who fought for New Zealand against the Turks at Gallipoli. He contracted pneumonia but was sent back to the Front Line a few weeks later.
He fell asleep on Guard duty and was court martialled and sentenced to death. He spent a few days in prison and was then sent back to the front line at Chunuk Bair. He was killed a few days later and his body never found.

The models are 2.4 times life size and were created by WETA workshops in NZ - they also worked on Lord of the Rings, Avatar and King Kong to name a few. The models are made from actual photographs on a 3D printer and are made of silicon- each hair and pore on the skin is done by hand.

ISO 6400 F4.5 1/15 sec (no flash or tripods allowed)

Hi Jack
An amazing story line behind the picture. There are so many service men and women who have fought for our countries in so many conflicts and are all but forgotten.
Lovely image with great lighting - before I got into your words properly I couldn't work out how you managed to get such a clear and strong image from someone who died so many years ago.
