[Notas - Normas] Nota do Artista
It looks like Krystal is gonna stay with us for quite sometime. Why? I had another photo session with her yesterday and I am pretty satisfied with quite a lot of the pictures I took.

I told her to bring something that would accentuate her pretty face. She brought two scarves. I then asked her to play with it in whatever way she wanted. She did so with such spontaneity and class.

This picture was taken i the foyer of the art building. The natural light passes through a glass wall and I have to put up a black cloth for the background. She had to squeeze very close to the corner so that the light could fall on her face.

For PP, I used very slight diffuse glow, work on layers to blur and sharpen some parts, then blended the layer using soft light. Krystal's complexion looks very Asian (though she's half-Thai, half-British).

I am posting another version....without blend mode/soft light in the workshop. As I am planning to submit this somewhere, please give me a feedback as to which version is better.

You have raised portraitry to a level of high classed, outstanding art! What a very beautiful face this girl has. You have captured her so well, there is nothing to add... except this: I want to see more of this!!

With a great b(l)ackground, Manny !
I like this one more than the WS, very good colours, she poses well, nice portrait again !

I already know that Krystal is one of the most beautyfull women I´ve ever seen, but through your eyes, Manny, it gets almost unreal to me. Colors, composition, textures, everything is perfect. Congratulations. You should come to Brazil and click our amazing women some day.
Best regards.

Belle composition Manuel...

I think both shots are well done but I think the on posted here on TL is the better of the two, the lighting is a little brighter and catches her eyes nicely. The only thing I can pick on is the slight bloodshot in her right eye.

Well done, very nice portrait and beautiful model. But for this kind of portraits I prefer BW. On my opinion I makes it more mistic and sensual, and eliminates the problem of the colours (balance; temperature, etc), keeping just the essential, the beauty… of the light.
I’ve made a workshop, I’ve just under PP set a grey conversion without any kind of other correction because, except the colour, your picture is perfect.
What do you think about it ?

I prefer that one.

Very nice portrait shot... You captured very well the expression on the face... Excellent composition, the colours are warm and nice...
Very well done!

Very Good! magnificent!

A magnificent portrait and I prefer this version. The diffuse light is very beautiful, I like very much seeing the colours which seem to sparkle in the sling, the eyes which shine, the bare shoulder. The glance of this lady is very beautiful, she seems lost in its thoughts. Haughtiness!

Hey Manuel!
Another great shot in the Krystal series. I like the use of the scarf and the very dark but vibrant colours.

i think that the colour version is much better. The photograph is very dark, and in a black and white version, the photograph becomes way too dark. The yellow tone really allows to attach the viewers attention. The grey not so much.

Hello Manuel!

You've made fabulous portrait. The face of this women is beautyful but despite of that this photo has perfect light, contrast, colours & the whole picture is great!

Best Regards
