A lovely scene, well captured. I remember Rangitoto Island well from my visit. My Auckland friend Mike had a photo of the island on his wall at home. He took a shot of his pregnant wife Liz, lying on a wall with the island in the background, and entitled the photo 'not extinct!' TFS,

I janice,
This is a very beautiful scene. I like how the walkway is aligned and leading us to the sun, and this bird balancing the scene. It's so peaceful and quiet with superb colors. Very well done.

A wonderful picture indeed! Great use of rule of thirds to compose the picture (good timing with the seagull) and superb colours. POV you've used to use the walkway to lead the eye to the sun is sublime! Great stuff!

Simply delightful Janice. I have yet to find a decent spot close by where I can capture a decent sunrise, surrounded by mountains and no water alas. Lovely colour, well composed and the solitary gull adds so much. TFS,

This is a beautiful Sunrise which you captured here! Vivid colours and using the tree to frame the photo was a great idea. Not to mention the bird flying too!

WAW, that the beautiful, really wonderful, landscape you was able to capture here! I like your composition with a pier, mountains on the background, branch of the tree framed this picture, a bird flying over the water, and, of course, such the inpressive sky with clouds at sunset.
