[Notas - Normas] Nota do Artista [Francês]
I've heard that she was around. Big news. On a perfect winter morning, I took my binoculars, my camera and I started searching her. My brother came whit me, he got lynx's eyes to find out. He found..! That wonderfull Great Gray Owl made my day.
Largest Owl (24-33'') she could be seen in my area
( southwest of provine of Quebec ) (every 4-7 years) only when small mammals become dificult to find in northwest area.
If you look at the beak you can see some blood marks...I know it's hard, but, that's life and so it's why she came through here.

What a stunning animal! Thos eyes are burning right through me. The angle makes him look very large and yes I do see the blood on his beak. Thanks for sharing.

This is a beautiful bird of prey. She does what an owl does. The blood on her beak shows she has had a good meal, as nature expects the cycle of life to do. You were very fortunate to have seen and photographed such a beautiful creature. Magnificient...:O)

THx for the moment

Excelent capture and details. well done on your composition. Too bad the tail was cutoff.

I did a workshop. Hope you like it. If the image was at 300 dpi to work on, it would have turned out alot better in workshop. Just to give you an idea, since you have the original.

Mike

What a privilage to be able to take a photo of this owl. Very nice focus and colours. The details of the feathers are excellent.

Prise très rare et bien réussie. Félicitations

Héhé! Une beauté de la nature doublé d'un chasseur frôlant la perfection...

Superbe photo. Effectivement c'est la loi de la nature que cet oiseau mange de petite bestiole. Tu as eu un très bonne pose en plus. Les couleurs sont bien ajusté et la luminosité est très bonne aussi. Une photo parfaite? Malheuereusement la perfection n'est pas de se monde alors elle est pr...esque parfaite ;-}
Bravo.

Woh, impressive bird. Wonder how much effect a wider aperture would have had on the background. An unsharp background would draw the attention even more to the bird I reckon.

If you want to spot owls, look on the ground, Daniel. They throw up the undigested skeletons of those small mammals, and these balls lie all around the trees they visit regularly.
I love the way you captured this elegant bird, sharpness is spot on. Too bad you lost a bit of her tail though. Thanks for sharing (TFS).

Bonjour Daniel, Très beau close-up, tu devais être très près et ce n'est pas évident car ces oiseaux-la peuvent attaquer.
Bravo Louis V.

Hi Daniel,
I love owls (I have a small collection). I find they look so much like cats! The circular forms around this beautiful owl's eye are really nice.

Lurdes
