Vercingetorix
Hi Folks,
Just back from a duty trip to Clermont-Ferrand in France. Had a bit of time to spent inthe city to make some pictures. The light was terrible, much to bright. Anyway Clermont-Ferrand is well known for it's Michelin tires and her hero Vercingetorix
He, Vercingetorix (pronounced [werkiŋˈɡetoriks] in Latin, /vɜrsɪn'ɡɛtərɪks/ or /vɜrsɪn'dʒɛtərɪks/ in English), born around 82 BC, died 46 BC, was chieftain of the Arverni, originating from the Arvernian city of Gergovia and known as the man who led the Gauls in their ultimately unsuccessful war against Roman rule under Julius Caesar. Known primarily through Caesar's accounts, Vercingetorix's revolt is frequently used as a heroic example of Gallic virtue and resolve. [from wikipedia.com]
I know the guy from my favorite comic Asterix.
Anyway I enjoyed my short stay in this nice French town of Clermont-Ferrand. |

Nice POV with good details and clarity. The composition became more livelier by including some people at the base of the monument. The note is short but informative. Cheers and TFS.
The light isn't too bad if you shoot F16 in bright sunlight! That makes a huge difference. The sky in this is a little mottled, uneven. But everything else looks great. Try that "Sunny 16"
B-)

Next time you come over you should bring a USB stick so that I can give you a nice small gadget for noise removing... ;-)
Nice shot with clear, bright colors.
