|Following on from yesterday's shot, this is another view across the limestone pavement at Southerscales nature reserve, looking down the valley towards the bulk of Ingleborough in the distance.|
It's very tricky scrambling across this terrain as the "grikes" or gullies between the blocks known as "clints" are very deep, and it would be easy to slip into them and break a leg. A monopod or closed up extended tripod to use as a walking staff is a great help.
