This is my first self portrait on Treklens
here I'm pulling my cheeks back so the wrinkles don’t show as much ....lol but then I notice my mouth looks to big now lol I guess there’s just no wining, anyway I hope all of you like it.
The lighting was a pain in the butt, but in the end it came out rather well I think lol

i see that face practicly everyday since i was like 5 or 6 lol an oh has it changed, but yet the beautiful person that you are Joe, hasn't changed at all since then. your one of my bestest friends in the entire world an i really wouldn't know what to do if you weren't part of it. love you with all my heart Joe and will forever and ever.

your friend 4 life,
Douglas

p.s.
bout time you noticed that you had a big mouth, been trying to tell you that for years now

beautiful first sel portrait Joe! A perfection!

Very cool lighting for a portrait. The light forces you to look right at the eyes, the most important part of the picture. And whether you used shallow DOF in camera, or blurred the edges in PP, I'm not sure. But it adds greatly to the effect, keeping your eyes right in the center. Great job, love it!

Very nice self-portrait, Joe, with a very original pose with your hands on your face making you look very pensive. Good sharpness and very nice light with a beautiful B&W. Excellent!

Sorry, I have run out of goodies for the day!

Brilliant shot Joe, I think the lighting you have here gives a nice effect. This could be an music album cover any day. Well done.

John

Nice portrait Joe - You don't look old enought to be worried about wrinkles - and when you do eventually get them, they add that natural look of wisdom. But back to the photo, your lighting is simple and effective. Exposure is perfect - a very technical and thought out B&W portrait. Nicely done.
Sam

Very nice SP man! I like the central position of your face in the frame and the lighting is great. Have you thought of darkening the background selectively so as to isolate your face even more? Also as per you note about wrinkles, if it really bugs you you can get rid of them on PS.

Cheers Joe!

Hello Joe, this one's very sharp and your pose is very creative indeed. the contrast is excellent and this is definitely one of the better b&w portraits that i've seen here! worth saving in my fave folder! :) Ron

Wonderful self portrait Joe!
Nice lightning, it gives your face and hands some interesting dimensions and curves.
The lighting also work wonders on those shadows, looks fabulous!
And good job on the dark backdrop, is it just a plain wall?
Haha, is this a new form of botox? ;)

Regards,

Biance.

Absolutely fantastic job with the light & b/w, never mind the aging showing eventually we all pass through that path (*.*)... bravo!

Ahh Joe, if we could just pull all those wrinkles away! Sigh! But we all have face old age! Me too!

Interesting photo.

Richard
