...it was nice visit to private Ralli Museum with private collection. The collection is rich. It includes paintings of famous modern and old artists. Permanent and changing exhibitions. One of the galleries is devoted to Salvador Dali. The history of Ceasarea is also depicted in the museum. What is also very interesting – the building itself.
The building is very attractive. Harry Recanati founded the museum and everything in it is from his private collection. The architects are the Uruyguyans Quintero and Casciani. The Israeli architect and town planner, Shaul Scohkolnik, adapted the plans to local conditions.
There are three floors exhibiting 20th century art, mostly by Latin American artists and lots of statues - some of them by Salvador Dali. I liked the statues very much. They are placed on each floor and outside the entrance of the museum. There is also a small archaeological wing showing various finds from the area.
It is worth visiting.
