Interlaken in autumn dress

Tried to do some Heavily Post Processed work on this picture. Seen many nice HDR pictures on TL last weeks, so give it a try too, although this isn't HDR.

The view on the nice Swiss town Interlaken in autumn dress is an experiment and I'm curious about your comments. Is is crap or not, what to improve, how to improve, all these questions I hope to get answered with the help of you TL members.

What did I do with the original picture? Well first removed some dust spots and rotated 2 degrees CW. Than the main part: increased brightness (10%)and contrast (15%), adjusted highlights (40%) and shadows (5%), readjusted contrast (+10%) and desaturated to get more natural colours (-10%). Resized and sharpened and finally add frame.

You can find the original picture in the WS here

Original image, except from rotation (2 degrees CW), a small crop, resize and sharpening.

* Converted to HDR in Photomatix Pro by creating 3-exposures in PhotoFiltre (gamma increase/decrease).

* Removed some of the haloing around one side of the steeple (first thing in the morning here so my hand isn't as steady as it could be or I would have done more).

* Increased gamma and contrast.

I sadly no longer have any versions of Photoshop on my computer so the editing capabilities were fairly limited.

Feedback welcome :).
